SEJARAH

Indonesia is a maritime country, considering that two-thirds of its territory is sea water. The potential of marine waters is very large, so it requires maximum and professional handling and management. The Indonesian government has attempted to address this potential by establishing the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries. The development of the maritime sector is felt to be very important to involve various departments, including: the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, the Ministry of Industry, especially elements of the maritime industry and trade and the Ministry of National Education, as well as other related departments. Diponegoro University has the right and strong commitment in facing the future as outlined in the Basic Scientific Pattern (PIK) which is oriented towards Coastal Region Eco Development. With the synchronous development of Diponegoro University in the future through educational programs, a Team for the Proposal of the Opening of the Undergraduate Naval Architecture Study Program was formed, chaired by Ir. H. Sukanto Jatmiko in 1998. Furthermore, the team conducted a Feasibility Study on the Opening of a Marine Engineering Undergraduate Study Program by conducting a survey to Universities that already have this department, also to the world of maritime industry and ministries related to marine technology in general, shipping engineering in particular, are then studied and compiled carefully and carefully so that it is in the form of a proposal and then submitted to the Directorate General of Higher Education in Jakarta. In the end the S1 Naval Architecture Study Program was established based on the letter of the Directorate General of Higher Education No. 3026 / D / I / 2002 dated October 28, 2002, which followed by the birth date of the S1 Naval Architecture Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Diponegoro University.

PROGRAM STUDI

VISI:

“Menjadi Departemen Teknik Perkapalan unggul dalam riset teknologi perkapalan dan maritim di tingkat Nasional serta mampu berkompetisi di tingkat internasional ”

MISI:

1. Menyelenggarakan Pendidikan Akademik yang unggul dan profesional dalam bidang teknologi perkapalan dan maritim sehingga menghasilkan lulusan yang kompetitif.
2. Melaksanakan riset dan publikasi secara berkala bagi dosen maupun mahasiswa dalam riset teknologi perkapalan dan maritim serta mendorong kepemilikan Hak Atas Kekayaan Intelektual (HAKI) sebagai upaya pengembangan teknologi perkapalan dan maritim..
3. Melaksanakan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat dengan standar kualitas yang tinggi untuk memecahkan persoalan masyarakat di wilayah pesisir /pantai dalam bidang Teknologi perkapalan dan maritim serta membantu peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat.
4. Melakukan evaluasi secara teratur untuk meningkatkan kualitas, profesionalisme, kapabilitas, akuntabilitas dan tata kelola serta kemandirian dalam penyelenggaraan Departemen Teknik Perkapalan.

TUJUAN

1. Menghasilkan lulusan yang berkemampuan unggul dalam menerapkan ilmu-ilmu dasar dan keahlian Teknik Perkapalan & Maritim dalam bidang perencanaan, perancangan, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, pengelolaan, operasi dan evaluasi atas dasar konsep-konsep yang umum pada tingkat persoalan sederhana.
2. Meningkatkan kompetensi Sumber Daya Manusia Program Studi S1 Teknik Perkapalan yang berkesadaran, mampu berdaya saing dan berkemampuan belajar sepanjang hayat serta terintegrasi.
3. Meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas riset serta publikasi agar mampu berinovasi dalam bidang perkapalan & maritim.
4. Meningkatkan kerjasama Departemen Teknik Perkapalan dengan pihak luar pada lingkup nasional ataupun internasional.
5. Meningkatkan efektivitas tata kelola pelayanan akademik dan keuangan Departemen Teknik Perkapalan.
